Expensive Machines Are Not Always Better
When examining the design of even the most expensive vacuum cleaners,
we noticed a serious flaw that can only be expressed as an "intentional
design omission".
For air not to escape from holes or filter edges, the vacuum cleaner
should be equipped with special packing devices. We noticed that air
is often emitted from unexpected areas such as the box around the electric
cord, or near the on-off switch. Perhaps by letting some air escape
even a little, the designers aims to raise suction force. However, this
also means that it is useless to equip the machines with High Efficiency
Particle Air (HEPA) filters, since dirty air will leak from other holes
in the body of the vacuum cleaner.
Japan Offspring Fund has expressed the opinion
that even some of the most expensive vacuum cleaners sold for home use
in Japan are dangerous for people suffering from allergies.
